Analyst Michael Pachter is now synonymous with his predictions of the videogames world, and today the Wedbush Morgan employee has cast his eye over Nintendo's Wii advertising, specifically that for Wii Fit.
He cited the experience of GameStop employees, who explained that after extremely high first week sales, the shifting of Wii software quickly tails off. And in relation to Wii Fit, he inferred that Nintendo is ignoring core gamers in its approach to advertising said:
"Wii Fit is just not aimed at hardcore gamers ... It's definitely aimed at the Oprah crowd. I bet they sell a million units a week for every pound that Oprah says she lost on it."
Nintendo has always been adamant that it is still focused on the established gaming audience as well as new players, but is it living up to its promise?

i am a mad hardcore gamer and think wii fit looks fun and intuitive, it may bring alot of Core g's like myself out to that new perspective on gaming that nintendo is successfully establishing.
I agree, I was speculative at first, but the more I see of it and the closer the launch gets, the more fun it looks to be.
