Despite its hefty £70 GBP price tag, Nintendo's Wii Fit has become the sixth fastest-selling UK release of all time, with 1 in 10 Wii owners in Britain snapping up a copy within its first week on sale.
The exercise-based title raked in an estimated £16.3m GBP in sales, making it the third largest release (in monetary terms) for a videogame product ever - behind only Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Halo 3 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 respectively.
Wii Fit's sales also trounced those of Mario Kart Wii, reports MCV, replacing it as Nintendo's fastest-selling title ever in the UK.
