Wii Exercise still at "early stage" of development

You may recall the mini article we wrote about Rocket Company's Wii Exercise, a title that is set to offer a more physically exhausting workout than Wii Fit, thanks to an emphasis on shadow boxing, sit-ups and push-ups.

Originally planned for a release in Japan this summer, Wii Fit Chat's correspondence with the firm suggests that this may now not happen. Rocket Company’s Hiroyuki Hashida explained that development of Wii Exercise was still in "an early stage" and was reluctant to reveal any further details about the exer-gaming title.

Wii Exercise was first announced in mid-2007, but was not originally intended to make use of the Balance Board; that feature was announced to be implemented later on.

Although the video game industry is constantly increasing and innovating, one of the bad things about it is that video games make people lazy and sedentary. This new generation which populates America nowadays has become fat and inactive. Even worst, many and many kids had become addicted to these games and are changing their life style dramatically from sports and health activities to being only sitting in front of the TV playing games.
But one of the good things that this industry is now applying, specially the company Nintendo with the video game Wii, is that these new technologies allow people to interact with the game using the controller and exercising at the same time. That means, now kids in order to play the games they have to actually do the movements with their body to control the commands of the game. So for example, in a tennis game, the person playing the game has actually to do the swing with the controller like if it was a tennis racket. With these new technologies, which is intended to make people to interact with one another and exercise, are now being top sellers in the United States and all over the world.
In conclusion, I believe that this new kind of alternative is going to help many and many kids and teenagers. They are the range of people that are more addicted to video games and hopefully they will from now on stay in shape as well as have a better social life.
