1080° Snowboarding developer working on Balance Board WiiWare title

1080° Snowboarding was one of the Nintendo Wii's most impressive sports titles, bringing the ice cool sport to consoles like it never had been done before.

And now developer Vitei has revealed that is currently developing a WiiWare title that will make use of the Balance Board accessory, although they're reluctant to reveal just yet what sort of game it is.

Speaking to Cubed3, the firm's Giles Goddard was asked whether his team had considered making use of the Balance Board, and responded:

"Our current game uses the Balance Board actually, and it’s due out in September on WiiWare... The interesting thing is that the games you would think would work well with the Balance Board actually don't."

Very cryptic, indeed - the download will arrive on WiiWare this September. Vitei becomes the second company to announce a WiiWare title that will support the Balance Board, following PheroseSoft's Wii Move.
