How would you feel about the Nintendo Wii and Balance Board helping you choose your clothes and shape your fashion sense? That's what one marketing blogger thinks it could do, and an untapped opportunity just begging to be exposed by some of the world's biggest brands:
Speaking of the Balance Board's weight-sensitive technology, Matthew Finch writes:
Marks and Spencer could showcase its new season range. The Wii could measure your dimensions and weight, building a virtual model of yourself onscreen. Then try out a combination of skirts, shoes, jumpers, hats, to put together your perfect outfit, all from the privacy of your living room, before ordering it all online!
He suggests that such software could be given away free with newspapers (as CDs and DVDs already are). There's definitely potential there, especially for those who prefer Internet shopping and aren't sure what best to buy to suit their style and body type.
