Perhaps this information was already known, but we haven't seen it published widely. Electronic Arts' upcoming Skate It title (a Nintendo Wii spin-off from last year's hugely popular simulation) will not allow you to pull tricks via Balance Board controls.
It's the Wii Remote and Nuchuck you'll use to perform ollies, nollies, kickflips and the like, while the Balance Board is used simply to steer your character left and right by shifting your weight in either direction. NGamer magazine writes:
"You can't use the board to pull off tricks - that's only done with the remote and nunchuck - but along with the likes of Family Ski, Skate It is further proof that what could be achieved with the new peripheral is fresh and exciting."
Complicated tricks we understand, but ollies, manuals and the like? That could've been done. Anyway, using the Board to control balance whilst grinding seems like a no-brainer decision to us, so here's hoping that'll be worked into Skate It before its autumn release.
