The phenomenal success of Wii Fit almost guarantees there'll be a sequel from Nintendo somewhere along the line, and while its inventor Shigeru Miyamoto hasn't confirmed there will be yet, in a chat to The Telegraph, he reiterated his interest in the genre, and wished that more developer would follow his lead:
"As game designers, the trend is often for concentrating on pushing graphics, or other capabilities, or network features in new games," he said. "But I like to think that game designers would be better off trying to think about things such as health or mental improvement, rather than technology itself."
Well said, Mr. Miyamoto!
