We've reported about the rehabilitation powers of the Nintendo Wii and Balance Board numerous times in the past few months, but St. Mary's hospital in the Bay Area of San Francisco has to be our, um, 'favourite' yet.
It's dedicated a whole room specifically to 'Wii-habilitation', and the following report from KRON 4 News shows how patients are benefiting from Wii Fit's activities.

I agree with all the hype about the benefits the Wii has for patients in rehabilitation. However, my concern is what are the disadvantages if improper biomechanics are used for the the Wii Fit balance board games and the therapy is ineffective. Any thoughts.
Applied by a registered physical therapist, who will assure that correct biomechanics is used, the therapy will be very effective.
