Thanks to Kotaku, we now have more clear information on what our last post was all about.
The channel, which provides feedback on a users of Wii Fit is being rolled out to employees at Hitachi, NEC and Panasonic Medical Solutions - three of Japan's biggest companies..
Whether it'll eventually be rolled out to the general public at some stage is still up in the air.

Wii Fit's earliest incarnation was as 'Wii Health Pack', with ideas that users' exercise and physical condition would be linked to medical professionals for interactive feedback. Now that idea looks like it is coming to fruition in Japan, with a deal between Nintendo and Hitachi for a new Wii Channel.
From what we can gather from the press release, Wii Fit users will gain access to medical guidance, as well as get any exercise questions they have answered by a professional (or just other users?) and an updated log on their health.
As soon as the details are clearer, we'll relay them to you.
