My Personal Trainer Golf Supports Wii Balance Board

My Personal Trainer for the Nintendo Wii will support the Wii Balance Board, it has been confirmed.

The game will make use of Wii MotionPlus and the Balance Board along with David Leadbetter, the world's #1 golfing instructor according to developer Data Design Interactive.

IGN reports:

Leadbetter recommend[s] drills for you to try and give instructional videos on how to improve certain parts of your swing. You'll be able to cycle through video segments that show different angles of your swing and how your body is changing and moving throughout your swing. You can switch camera angles, slow it down or speed it up to get the best analysis possible from your living room.

My Personal Trainer will swing onto Wii later on this year.

Dance Dance Revolution Wii Details


Wii is the place to be for DanceDanceRevolution this year as players can dance to the beat using the DanceDanceRevolution Wii Remote™ and, for the first time, the Wii Balance Board™ accessory in the Workout Mode. Players will enjoy in-game items that are exclusive to Wii such as hip, roll, and bump arrows that appear on screen or punch while moving their hips as they get their bodies in shape.

Yoga for Wii Supports Wii Balance Board

Utilizing the Wii Balance Board and following step-by-step instructions from a variety of in game Yoga Gurus, players will be guided through a variety of popular Yoga exercises. Players will be able to monitor their progress with a dynamic tracking system and set up a schedule to follow. The yoga guru, acting as your own personal trainer, will make suggestions to you based on your progress and computations taken from the Balance Board. The Wii Remote™ and Balance Board will be used for many poses to determine the player’s balance and any movements or shifts in weight by the player will be detected and recorded once the pose is complete.

Yoga for Wii has three play modes – Story Mode where players start the game as a beginner and finish as a yoga guru; Training Mode where players have the opportunity to learn new poses to add to their routines; and Routine Mode, a set of consecutive yoga poses either user-created or pre-created routines. There are mini-games to test the player’s knowledge of yoga and predetermined routines created to help alleviate common ailments. Yoga for Wii is beneficial to anyone wanting to try Yoga and discover its unique way of providing strength, flexibility and endurance training while at the same time creating a powerful connection between mind and body.

Yoga for Wii is penned for release in October.

EA Sports Active Expansion Pack - New Exercises Coming

EA Sports Active has sold a whopping 600,000 units since its release, and its makers took that opportunity (and why wouldn't they?) to reveal that an expansion pack containing brand new exercises will be on the way.

30 new workouts will be included, including the likes of water skiing and squash - additional core exercises are also promised.

Wii Fit Plus announced by Nintendo

You could argue we knew it was coming, but today Nintendo has officially confirmed the sequel to Wii Fit - Wii Fit Plus.

Building on the success of the original, Wii Fit Plus sees you become your own personal trainer, with exercises including juggling, skateboarding, and Perfect Math - where players swing their butt to knock bags with the answers to simple arithmatic questions.

Your Mii will also get involved, allowing you to play through 3D platforming mini-games.

Wii Fit Plus will come bundled with the Wii Balance Board or as a standalone game, and is released this Fall.

Wii Fit Plus details revealed?

Japanese website Nikkei claims to have the first details of Wii Fit Plus, which many believe Nintendo will unveil at the upcoming E3 Expo. The following is a translation courtesy of GoNintendo:

"The new "Wii Fit Plus" game will now allow you to compare your body weight or health with friends and distant family members, thanks to an added online functionality. Additionally, a improved measurement capabilities will allow for a better health control. Special exercises destined to aged people, and aiming to lower their body charge will also be added."

World Championship Athletics for the Nintendo Wii supports the Wii Balance Board, CRAVE has announced today. Check out details of the game below:

The Biggest Loser supports Wii Balance Board


The Biggest Loser will support the Wii Balance Board, Majesco has confirmed in announcing the game today.

Just like the hit NBC show, your goal is to accomplish weight loss milestones through weekly training and exercise challenges. If you succeed in obtaining your weight loss goal, you'll become the "Biggest Loser".

The Biggest Loser offers numerous interactive features which fully employ the
innovative, sensor-driven hardware that only the Wii currently offers. Use the Wii Balance Board in over 66 exercises including squats, lunges and knee lifts to name a few.

Ubisoft has today announced Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage, a sequel to last year's smash hit for the Nintendo Wii, which featured Wii Balance Board support.

Players will hit the slopes with Shaun White and his crew, but this time the stakes are higher as you pursue the world’s top competitions from a half-pipe in the middle of New York’s Time Square to the most prestigious competitions of France, Canada and Japan.

Ubisoft has been a great partner, and I'm excited for World Stage,” said action sports phenom Shaun White.“It's cool to give people insight on what my life is like on the competition circuit.

Strangely, there's no official confirmation about Wii Balance Board support, but it's pretty much a no-brainer. Ubisoft will reveal all at next week's E3 Expo.

Wii Fit Plus Supports Wii Balance Board



Back in April we reported about a listing spotted in a European games store for Wii Fit Plus. Many dismissed it, but today Nintendo has registered a trademark under the same name, and revealed a logo to go with it.

If this doesn't confirm a sequel to Wii Fit, we don't know what does... and does the 'Plus' part of the Wii Fit Plus name infer MotionPlus support?
