Physiofun Balance Training Wii for Wii Balance Board Rehab

We introduced Physiofun to you the other week, and now more details of the WiiWare Wii Balance Board-supported title have been revealed. Here's the blurb:

"Physiofun Balance Training is also excellently suited for post-rehab care of patients that visited physiotherapists and private rehab centres. Instead of bringing home expensive specialised equipment, important exercises for patients recovering from, for example, foot, knee or hip complaints can now be carried out in a fun and entertaining way."

Not sure how safe something like this can be used by rehab patients, without professional advice... but, hey...

No release date has been set yet, but we'll keep you posted!

Wii Balance Board Cushion Accessory

Aching feet or painful buttocks while using the Wii Balance Board? Worry no more, with the launch of CTA Digital's Plush Cushion for the Wii Balance Board...

Says CTA Digital:

"Our soft, comfortable balance board cover is an accessory that you do not want to be with out. The plush material feels great under your feet when standing on the balance board with or with out socks on. The balance board is made of hard unforgiving plastic, and with the use of the plush cushion you can still play all games that use the balance board, but with out your feet hurting. You can also use the cushion for games that require sitting on the balance board. The cushion is the perfect solution for how uncomfortable the balance board can be to sit on. Anytime you use the balance board, you will be glad to have the plush cushion, and if your cushion cover gets dirty, just throw it in the washing machine!"

The Garfield Show Wii Supports Wii Balance Board

The Garfield Show (or to give it its full title... The Garfield Show: Threat of the Space Lasagna) supports the Wii Balance Board, we learn today.

Things have been a bit quiet on the Balance Board front of late, but a lazy American feline was the last thing we'd see ending the drought. Still, we'll take it.

According to our Italian description of the game, it appears that an army of lasagnas from space are planning an invasion of earth to put a stop to Garfield, whose favourite foodstuff happens to be... well... them.

The Garfield Show features 16 mini-games (5 support the Wii Balance Board), for up to four players, and sees one player stepping into the paws of the hungry moggy, while the others act as Space Lasagne as he gets on with his day.

If this is true to life, this will involve stopping Garfield eating, sleeping, and licking his behind in front of onlookers.

We're sure the developers have something more exciting in store for us, though.

And no more moaning about the Wii MotionPlus drought... The Garfield Show supports the add-on too!

Only news of a release date in Germany so far... on May 17.

Thanks to Janne for the tip!

Wii Fit Accident Causes Sex Addiction

According to the Daily Star newspaper in the UK, a lady has been struck down with an addiction to sex after falling off her Wii Balance Board.

"A woman has gone from Nintendo to nympho after a fall from her Wii Fit board turned her into a sex addict. Randy Amanda Flowers needs 10 sex sessions a day after the slip-up. And now the slightest of vibrations, from mobile phones to food processors, turns her on. The catering worker said: “It began as a twinge down below before surging through my body. Sometimes it built up into a trembling orgasm.” A doctor diagnosed her with persistent sexual arousal syndrome due to a damaged nerve."

Well, maybe her husband is pleased? =P

Physiofun Balance Training Supports Wii Balance Board

Physiofun Balance Training will support the Wii Balance Board, we learn this weekend.

According to a number of sources, Physiofun will be a WiiWare title, and (we're guessing), will help promote the rather clever Physiofun accessory.

Take a look at it in the image above - slotting around the Wii Balance Board (and therefore leaving it on a flat surface), Physiofun increases the surface around the Board by a metre square, minimising the risk of any slips, trips or falls.

Its makers cite its particular usefulness in the cases of physical rehabilitation, which we have seen the Wii Balance Board used for numerous times in the past.

The Physiofun accessory is available at Amazon Germany right now, while there is not yet a firm release date for Physiofun Balance Training.

Huge thanks to Janne for the tip!

Big Beach Sports 2 Supports the Wii Balance Board, we learn today.

The ever-summery sequel to 2008's mini-game filled title heads to stores in a couple of months time.
